Concern: Damage to the drivetrain if the temporary spare tire is installed on the wrong axle and/or without deactivating the All-Wheel-Drive on models equipped with automatic transmissions.

Concern: Damage to the unibody frame structure if the wrong location is used to pull or secure the vehicle during towing and recovery operations. Please note this updated procedure in all 2010-2012 AAA/CAA Towing & Service Manuals
Vehicles: 2010 – 2012 Chevrolet Malibu

Concern: Alternate vehicle entry procedure – The Chevrolet Cruze may be equipped with door lock buttons which are not accessible with the strip and string method listed on page GM-36 of the AAA/CAA lockout manual. Some technicians have expressed difficulty with using both the GM-36 procedure and the alternate procedure found on GM-38. An alternative procedure was developed to unlock this vehicle.
